Dear SIR / MADAM !
I am a citizen from Vietnam. I apologize for writing to you so suddenly. I understand that you are very busy with work, but I hope you will read this letter to understand the reason why I am writing to you.
Dear SIR / MADAM !
I am a business owner in Vietnam. My business specializes in the production of natural shaped pearls. You can see detailed information about my business on the website: https://ngocmynhanpearl.com/en/trang-chu-english/
Two men of Cameroonian nationality, Armand Wily Asse (born in 1972) and Naga Onguene Xavier (born in 1989) have contacted me. One of the two men told me that his name was Clovis Katumbi, a French national interested in my products and wanted to cooperate, buy my products and distribute them to Europe (later the Vietnamese police discovered that he used a fake passport to do business with me).
The two men flew to Vietnam, they said that a representative of the French embassy would pick them up, they rented a luxury hotel and invited me there to discuss the business, they visited my pearl farm and discussed the terms to sign a contract to buy my pearls.
After that, they defrauded me and took 548 million VND (equivalent to about 21,600 USD).
They were arrested by the Vietnamese police and admitted that they used fake passports, defrauded me of 548 million VND, and transferred my money to their relatives in Cameroon...
According to Vietnamese law: they will have to compensate for the damage they caused me, they will have to remedy the consequences and return all the money they took from me, they may be imprisoned from 12 to 20 years or life imprisonment...
Currently, the Cameroonian government has not established an embassy in Vietnam. Therefore, I would like to write to you to express my wishes:
First: I understand that anyone can make mistakes in life because we are not saints.
Second: although they have caused me great loss, I wish to give them the opportunity to correct and overcome their mistakes.
Third: I don't want them to be in prison for too long, because: their wives, children, and relatives will suffer and face difficulties for a long time.
Fourth: I just want them or their relatives to return the money they stole from me, and compensate for the damage they caused me.
Fifth: I don't want this incident to affect the good relationship between our two countries. I think we can handle the matter in the best way for both sides.
I hope you will try to contact their relatives, contact the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, contact the Vietnamese police to help these two Cameroonian citizens.
